Introduction to the operating temperature of rolling bearings

I. Material selection

1. General rolling bearing in the normal working temperature (room temperature) can be in accordance with the national standard GB/T18254-2002 "high carbon chromium bearing steel" selection of materials. 

2. High temperature rolling bearing working temperature more than 300 ℃ can be in accordance with YB688-2000 "high temperature bearing steel Cr4 MO4V technical conditions" selection of materials.

3. Low temperature rolling bearing (working temperature below -60 ℃ below the bearing), commonly used stainless bearing steel 9Cr18, 9Cr18Mo material manufacturing, in accordance with GB/T3086-1982 "high carbon chromium stainless bearing steel technical conditions" selection, can also choose beryllium bronze, ceramic and other materials manufacturing.

II. Heat treatment process

1. General rolling bearing selection of high-carbon chromium bearing steel, its heat treatment process in accordance with the national machinery industry standard JB/T1255-2001 "high-carbon chromium bearing steel rolling bearing parts heat treatment technical conditions".

2. High temperature bearing working temperature higher than 300 ℃ can be applied according to JB/T2850-1993 "Cr4MO4V high temperature bearing steel rolling bearing parts heat treatment technical conditions" after processing.

3. low temperature bearings, according to JB/T1460-2002 "high-carbon chromium stainless steel rolling bearing parts heat treatment technical conditions" after processing, to be applied.

III. Rolling bearing working temperature

1.General bearing selection of high-carbon chromium bearing steel and according to the above heat treatment process after processing ball bearing in normal working condition (room temperature) working temperature in accordance with the relevant standards, that is, through the life and reliability of the test and assessment, can be controlled according to this.

a. Test provisions See JB/T50013-2000 "rolling bearing life and reliability test procedures" in Article 5 test conditions, item 5.4: bearing outer ring temperature grease lubrication, not allowed to exceed 80 ℃; oil lubrication, not allowed to exceed 95 ℃.

b. Test and evaluation See GB/T24607-2009 "ball bearing life and reliability test and evaluation" national standard, Article 6 test conditions, item 6.2: circulating oil lubrication, bearing outer ring temperature should generally not exceed 95 ℃; grease lubrication, bearing outer ring temperature should generally not exceed 80 ℃.

2. bearing operating temperature under high temperature conditions:

a. Rolling bearing selection of high-carbon chromium bearing steel, working temperature between 150 ℃ ~ 350 ℃, according to JB/T2974 standard, when the working temperature between 150 ℃ ~ 350 ℃, in the bearing model suffix can be marked S0 ~ S4 to be indicated.

b. Rolling bearing using high temperature bearing steel, its working temperature can reach 300 ℃ or more, the specific working temperature according to the working conditions are given separately.

3. Low temperature bearing working temperature:

The rolling bearing uses high-carbon chromium stainless bearing steel, its working temperature is below minus 60℃, the specific working temperature is given separately according to the working conditions.
